In 2013, Steve Wiley founded CEEK LLC as a for-profit business that sought to advance the tenants of conscious capitalism and other-oriented, values-based leadership. Since their founding, CEEK has delivered more than ten thousand leadership development workshops and coaching sessions in support of over a hundred commercial, public, and non-profit clients.
While CEEK is proud of its history, we desired an even greater impact on future leaders. In July of 2025, we incorporated CEEK Next as a nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
To educate, equip, and elevate youth and aspiring young professionals to lead with integrity and create positive change in their communities.
A generational movement advancing and modeling other-oriented, values-based leadership. We have adopted Integrity and Trust as our core values.
In pursuit of this mission and vision, CEEK Next has adopted Integrity and Trust as our core values. Based upon CEEK’s Five Y’s of Leadership, these are the same values we promote as the foundation of the other-oriented, values-based leadership that we seek to inspire:
CEEK Next endorses a broader definition of Integrity that aligns to three of our Five Y’s of Leadership: honestY, accountabilitY, and authenticitY. We equate this to leaders who Honor their Worth, their Word, and their Wholeness.
CEEK Next recognizes “other orientation” as the most important factor influencing trust. We promote empathY and humilitY as two of our Five Y’s of Leadership that demonstrate an orientation in service of others.

Too often, young people are taught that leadership is about titles, positions, or assuming the “stage” in front of others. You see the loudest voices getting the spotlight, or people in authority who seem “in charge” because they elevate themselves by pushing others down. And when it comes time to apply for college or interview for that first job, you’re asked to share information about “leadership” roles — team captain, class president, committed volunteer — as if leadership is a résumé, as opposed to a way of being.
Real leadership starts with who you are, not what title you hold. It’s about a mindset and the choices we make, not position or achievements. It grows from self-awareness and a reputation for being who you profess to be, doing what you say you will do, and sharing your passion and gifts in service of others. CEEK Next challenges next generation leaders to:
You don’t need a position to be a leader. You just need the courage to create a positive impact in the lives around you. CEEK Next empowers our youth to build that authentic reputation, serve the greater good, and become a leader worth following — in high school, in college, and far beyond.
Are you a teacher, coach, or community organizer who would like to engage CEEK Next to deliver leadership training for youth in your community?
Are you a collegiate athletics coach, administrator, or teammate who would like to elevate the leadership story of a student athlete who prioritizes character over visibility?
Are you a conscientious human who would like to contribute to our efforts to advance and model other-oriented, values-based leadership – as a better way to lead? (Links to a donation widget…we can provide
